Respite Care for Seniors

Healthy Seniors of Steele County knows that there are times that you need a couple of hours to take care of your own appointments or to pick up needed supplies to care for your loved one. Give us a call and we will schedule one of our volunteers to sit with your loved one so that you can take care of yourself. 

On-going support services are offered for those caring for a senior that is living in their own home in Steele County.

Meet Robert

Robert, an 85-year-old was told he would need to get regular shots in his eyes for macular degeneration. He also has other complications with his eyes. Robert is a caregiver for his wife who suffered a stroke. He was not able to leave her alone for his appointments.

For the last 18 months, we have been providing a respite volunteer for Robert to relieve the burden of caregiving. He is able to get to his scheduled appointments and not have to worry about his wife being home alone.
